Hope on Hopkins Salt River Gin

From Hope Distillery

A more contemporary style, Hope on Hopkins’ Salt River Gin brings South African flavours to the fore. Also made using the one shot method, this gin is influenced by their distillery’s location based in the heart of the Western Cape: distilled from a grain base with eight botanicals including juniper, hand picked kapokbos (wild rosemary) and buchu from a farm on the Winterhoek Mountains as well as organic citrus peel.

It is a contemporary style gin distilled with local fynbos including buchu (a fragrant shrub) and kapokbos (a sweet wild rosemary) and opens up beautifully in a gin and tonic.

Excellent in a gin and tonic served with a slice of grapefruit and sprig of thyme. or even some summer berries.

ABV:43%
Nose:Fresh fruit and fynbos (fine-leaved shrubs with distinct terroirs)
Palate:Florally blackcurrant with hints of herbs, citrus and berries
Finish:A complex finish: sweet yet astringent
Serve:A a gin and tonic with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of thyme; or with summer berries
