Edelwhite Gin

Edelwhite Gin is a London Dry Gin which was launched in 2017 by Barb Grossenbacher a Canadian living in Switzerland, having previously run hotels and restaurants for 30 years and after completed the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Diploma.

The distillery is located in Ebnet, a small village between Lucerne and Bern in Switzerland, and is home to a 150L still while also sharing the building with Entlebucher Bier and the Lindenhof Hotel and Restaurant.

The Gin contains the mystical Edelweiss, which represents the attitude to life of the Swiss Alps. The essence consists of medicinal plants from the harsh mountains and valleys and uses pure spring water from the region.

The Edelwhite Gin is created from 27 botanicals (ingredients). 14 of them come from fields, meadows, moors and mountains in the Entlebuch region. What Barb cannot look for and plant herself, she buys from the “Entlebucher Herbs Cooperative”; which guarantees regionality.

The other 13 botanicals are also of the highest quality and of organic origin. The goal is to be able to trace the origin of all plants.
