Devil’s Grin Texas Gin is an award-winning, small-batch gin distilled at Trinity River Distillery in Fort Worth, Texas.
Created to appeal to traditional London Dry drinkers while offering something unexpected, it combines a classic juniper-led foundation with distinctive ingredients sourced from around the world and a strong sense of its Texan origins.
The gin was developed through more than 60 individual distillations, with each botanical carefully selected for its contribution to the final spirit. Juniper remains at the heart of the recipe, providing the familiar London Dry backbone, while botanicals from six continents introduce layers of citrus, floral, spice and sweetness.
Devil’s Grin is produced using a step-maceration process, allowing individual botanicals time to contribute their character before they are distilled together. The spirit is distilled slowly and evaluated by taste rather than simply by time, before being carefully brought to its final strength over a month.
The result is a 44% ABV gin with a three-stage flavour profile. The opening is bold, with earthy juniper and cedar warmth. The palate becomes bright, with citrus and floral notes developing as the botanical character evolves. The finish is brazen, bringing toasted spice and gentle sweetness alongside a notably smooth texture.
A further connection to its home is found in the use of Texas rainwater, collected in Fort Worth and used in the production process.
