Tanqueray Old Tom Gin
From: Tanqueray
Based on a recipe from 1835 from the Tanqueray archives, this has been brought back to life by master distiller Tom Nichol, and re-launched with a limited edition run of just 100,000 bottles worldwide in June 2014.
This gin launched in specialist retailers and bars across the UK and beyond and has a traditional clear appearance in the glass as you would expect from a traditional gin.
ABV: | 47.3% |
Nose: | Pine trees mixed with the traditional juniper berries which is cleverly combined with liquorice and orriss root. This combines superbly with a hint of sugard ginger, lemon zest and sage. The use of water brings out a flavour of the herbs used and makes for a fruity flavour. |
Finish: | A dry, herby gin which lets the juniper and coriander breathe. |
