Botanicals availability and resiliance market update
Alessandro's talk is about Sourcing and managing botanicals for a global gin brand where he share his knowledge from working at Bacardi's botanical centre in Geneva.
Simon, founder of Fords Gin is going to discuss his experiences in launching a gin brand in a new market - using knowledge from his recent Brazil launch as well as the experience of launching in the USA - to share what he has learnt along the way.
Celebrating his 10th year at Ginposium David leads his tasting of what’s new in the world of gin, a fast-paced environment with constant innovation with many new releases since last year.
Stefano will discuss the general state of the botanicals market and look at the challenges of sustainability in botanicals supply, as well as the impact of climate change on botanicals crops and examine the impact of global conflicts.
Emma will guide attendees through a tasting session featuring a selection of the finest ultra-premium gins available, including from Guild members Renais, Cygnet as well as the gin created for Brad Pitt by Guild Lifetime achievement award winner Tom Nichol.
John will give insights to gin producers around the world on what his role as Senior Spirits buyer at Waitrose entails, and give tips and suggestions for how to stand out in a crowded marketplace in Waitrose, the holy grail of spirits listings.
Alison will provide an updated version of the presentation made at Ginposium 2019 from her colleague, Alistair Taylor, and provide a refresher for gin brands on how the self-regulatory system for alcohol marketing works.
Chris will help us map the performance of gin consumption, focus on the recent evolution in consumer trends by the key markets, and summarise where we are in the investment cycle and will examine the challenges facing the industry.
Ciara will discuss the latest developments in IP infringement in the drinks industry, including the recent well-publicised UK decisions in M&S v Aldi (gin case) and discuss how best to protect your rights when faced with look-a-like product.
In this discussion, David will present an outline of the Gin Guild’s sustainability project and how its toolbox for Gin distillers can help them reduce their carbon footprint.
