Looking for a distributor in your country?
It all began in 2009, in a small workshop in Hammersmith, London, when two childhood friends, Fairfax and Sam, united around a shared belief in doing things properly – the way they used to be, and the way they should be. With a determination to revive traditional craftsmanship, they established London’s first copper pot distillery since 1820, marking a pivotal moment in the modern history of London gin.
Their ambition was clear and uncompromising: to bring London Dry Gin of exceptional quality, character and authenticity back to the city where it first earned its name. In doing so, they helped reignite London’s historic connection to gin distillation and played a key role in the wider renaissance of the category.
Every bottle of Sipsmith is hand-crafted in genuinely small batches, with each production run carefully overseen by dedicated distillers. The approach remains intentionally hands-on, rooted in traditional copper distillation methods and guided by skill, instinct and a deep respect for the process.
There are no regimented timings or automated cuts in the distillation process – instead, each spirit is shaped by the judgement of experienced craftsmen, allowing flavour to be guided by observation and expertise rather than machinery. This commitment to craft ensures that every batch reflects consistency, quality and character.
From its pioneering beginnings to its established position as one of London’s most respected gin producers, Sipsmith continues to champion the values of authenticity, craftsmanship and uncompromising quality in every bottle it produces.

Despite the phenomenal success of the brand, which famously challenged an antiquated British law preventing gin being made in small batches and won, the bedrock of their story is the belief that flavours Read more
