The Gin Guild extends its congratulations to Maurice Doyle, a founding member of the Guild with William Grant & Sons, on his appointment as Chairman of Cotswolds Distillery.

Maurice, who was installed as one of the original Rectifiers at the Guild’s inaugural ceremony in October 2012 while with William Grant & Sons, brings extensive experience from senior roles across the global spirits industry, including Pernod Ricard, Bacardi and William Grant & Sons and most recently Compass Box.

His appointment marks an exciting development for Cotswolds Distillery, an English producer recognised for both its award-winning gins (and whisky), as it continues to expand its brand presence and visitor experience.

In related Guild news, Dan Szor, founder of Cotswolds Distillery will shortly become the next Master of the Worshipful Company of Distillers, and notably, the first Gin Guild member* to hold the position. Only Christopher Hayman and Charles Maxwell, both distinguished distillers, served as Masters prior to the Guild’s creation.

The Gin Guild congratulates Maurice and Dan on these significant milestones, which reflect the continued leadership and influence of Guild members across the wider distilling community.
