Beefeater has teamed up with British funk and acid jazz pioneers Jamiroquai to mark the 30th anniversary of the band’s iconic Virtual Insanity music video.

The campaign, launching initially in Spain and Italy, sees frontman Jay Kay revisit the celebrated video in a modern reimagining, bringing the famous moving-room concept back to life while introducing a new generation to one of Britain’s most recognisable music videos.

The collaboration reflects Beefeater’s ongoing investment in culturally relevant partnerships that reinforce the brand’s heritage and appeal to contemporary consumers. According to Pernod Ricard, the campaign forms part of a wider strategy to strengthen the Beefeater masterbrand and engage new audiences through memorable creative collaborations.

Francesco Ottaviano, VP Marketing Gins & Aperitifs at Pernod Ricard, said the partnership demonstrates how Beefeater can “engage consumers in new ways while reinforcing the relevance of the Beefeater masterbrand.”

Jay Kay added:

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Virtual Insanity and, as a prediction of the future, it wasn’t too far off. Recreating the video with Beefeater 30 years on has been a genuine full-circle moment.”

Originally released in 1996, Virtual Insanity became one of the defining music videos of its era, winning multiple MTV Video Music Awards and cementing Jamiroquai’s place in British music history. The new campaign brings together two enduring British icons to celebrate the anniversary with a fresh interpretation for today’s audience.
