Madrona Distillery

Madrona Distillery, established in 2022 by Tom and Anne Allan, is a family-owned craft distillery located on Orcas Island in the state of Washington.

The distillery draws its name from the native madrona trees that grace the shores of Puget Sound, particularly in the San Juan and Gulf Island archipelagos.

Specialising in traditional London Dry style gin, Madrona Distillery’s flagship product is the result of over three years of meticulous research and development.

Other products take advantage of local island ingredients, from land and sea. At Madrona, the focus is on balance in their gins – each is as enjoyable neat as it is in fine cocktails.

Tom Allan, leveraging more than fifteen years of experience in the drinks industry and formal training from Heriot-Watt University and the University of California, Davis, collaborated with gin botanical consultants from The Distiller’s Nose in the United Kingdom to craft this gin.

The distillery’s tasting room provides visitors with samples, cocktails, barware and branded merchandise, surrounded by views of the sea and nearby islands.

Through their commitment to quality and innovation, they have quickly established themselves as a notable player in the American craft spirits landscape.
