The dust has barely settled on Ginposium 2026, but one message has already come through loud and clear from delegates: this year’s event delivered an inspiring day of learning, networking and collaboration for the global gin community – exactly what we wanted to achieve.

Drawing together distillers, brand owners, suppliers, academics and industry experts from around the world, Ginposium once again demonstrated why it has become one of the calendar’s most anticipated gatherings.

Attendees consistently praised not only the quality and variety of the presentations and panel discussions, but also the atmosphere that made meaningful conversations possible throughout the day.

Jethro Cramp of Kilo Spirits described it as “by far the nicest and most enjoyable industry event I’ve ever attended”, highlighting the openness of the community and the ease with which delegates could connect with one another.

That sentiment was echoed by many, with networking repeatedly cited as one of the day’s greatest strengths. Founder of Solaro Gin, Lorenzo Fornari, spoke of the opportunity to meet both familiar faces and industry legends while making valuable new contacts, while attendees from as far afield as New Zealand reflected on the warm welcome they received.

Thank you very much for putting on such a wonderful day. That was by far the nicest and most enjoyable industry event I’ve ever attended. I’ve never been in a room where you could turn around at any moment and start talking with anyone, and everyone was welcoming and interesting.

The educational programme also received widespread praise. Delegates highlighted the breadth of topics covered, from sustainability and climate change to investment, marketing, robotics, market analysis and the rapidly evolving ready-to-drink category. Many commented on the practical insights they could immediately take back to their own businesses.

Matthew Hurley of Castlefreke Distillery described the programme as being packed with “valuable insights” and “thought-provoking discussions and practical takeaways”, while Jonny Gray reflected on learning about everything from sustainability and future trends to cross-category data and emerging technology.

For many, the combination of technical expertise and strategic thinking proved particularly valuable. Matteo Brochetti, attending for the second time, highlighted discussions around botanical sourcing, scientific approaches to extraction and sustainability, concluding that Ginposium is “one of the most valuable days you can spend if you’re serious about where the spirits industry is heading.”

Alongside the formal sessions, the tutored tastings and late afternoon networking provided further opportunities to exchange ideas and experience the diversity of today’s gin landscape. As many attendees noted, some of the most memorable conversations happened over a shared G&T after the presentations had finished.

Several delegates also praised the event’s organisation and continual evolution. Professor Matthew Pauley observed that “every year Pal is refining and improving the Ginposium format in small and meaningful ways”, recognising the ongoing commitment to enhancing the delegate experience.

Others commented on the quality of moderation throughout the panel discussions, helping to facilitate engaging conversations and encourage contributions from a wide range of perspectives.

Perhaps most encouragingly, many attendees have already expressed their intention to return next year. Messages received after the event repeatedly referenced Ginposium as an essential fixture for anyone invested in the future of gin, with delegates describing it as informative, welcoming and uniquely collaborative.

The Gin Guild would like to thank every speaker, staff member, attendee and press-ganged moderator who contributed to making Ginposium 2026 such a success. It is the willingness of our community to share knowledge, challenge ideas and support one another that continues to make the event so special.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Ginposium 2027.
