About David
David is UK Director of Sustainability at WSP, and is a global leader of WSP’s Future Ready innovation programme – a world class initiative setting WSP apart and placing their business at the heart of creating a resilient, future ready world.
David has worked with companies and organisations for 30 years to develop strong sustainability and environmental compliance programmes and is one of the UK’s leading sustainability professionals. He’s worked widely in the spirits industry and led our work with the Scotch Whisky Association. David was awarded Society for Environment’s Professional of The Year and Business Green’s Leader of the Year for his work. He has an MBA with distinction from Warwick University, a first degree in physical sciences from Southampton University and is a Chartered Environmentalist.
He is Leader of WSP’s corporate sustainability practice – providing clear business advice on ESG, TCFD and strategies grounded in engineering, business consultancy and science as well as a regular media commentator on environmental issues – recently to to BBC Radio 4 PM Programme, Five Live, Radio 2, Sky News as well as The Times, Financial Times, Daily Telegraph and The Guardian and is Board Director of Aldersgate Group – one of the UK’s leading business groups driving action for a sustainable economy.
