About Alessandro

Part of the Bacardi team for more than 17 years, Alessandro has headed up the company’s Global Botanicals Centre in Geneva since 2017, taking a leading role in installing cutting-edge technology at the plant, as well as pushing boundaries on sustainable sourcing and the latest product innovations in the Bacardi portfolio of premium spirits.

Following the retirement of Guild member Ivano Tonutti earlier this year he is honoured to take on the prestigious title of Master of Botanicals for Bacardi, covering Bombay Sapphire, Martini and Noilly Prat to name a few.

He is responsible for ensuring the consistent quality and flavour of each, as well as continuing the strong, lasting relationships with botanicals suppliers and farmers across the world – looking after their wellbeing and investing in sustainable farming practices to help protect the environment and their livelihoods for generations to come.
