Elemental Distillers is a boutique New Zealand producer based in the renowned Marlborough wine region, where it crafts its spirits entirely on estate with a strong focus on provenance, sustainability and transparency.
Founded by Ben Leggett and Simon Kelly, the distillery brings together decades of international drinks industry experience, united by a philosophy of “root to cup” production – ensuring full traceability of ingredients and processes.
At the heart of the range is Roots Marlborough Dry Gin, a classic London Dry style that reflects both traditional structure and a distinctly local character.
Batch distilled in a bespoke 200-litre copper still following a 24-hour maceration, the gin is built around a juniper-forward profile layered with bright grapefruit, coriander seed and New Zealand-grown botanicals including Motueka hops, gorse flower and native kawakawa.
Elemental Distillers places equal emphasis on sustainability and craftsmanship, operating from a purpose-built container distillery that integrates solar power, water recirculation and small-batch production methods.
The result is a portfolio of gins that combine precision distillation with a strong sense of place, exemplified by Roots Dry Gin’s balance of classic structure and contemporary regional expression.
