Whittaker’s Gin have a beautiful distillery in the heart of Nidderdale where on a visit here you can learn all about their award winning gins and sample the range.
It is a distillery in the Harrogate Region with a growing collection of small batch gins and spirits distilled in a Yorkshire-made still named Jezebel using natural spring water from the heart of Nidderdale.
The original distillery was an old 1950s pig shed which is still very much in use as a storage, bottling, and labelling facility. All the distilling now takes place in an amazing purpose built distillery building which opened to the public in August 2019.
A Whittaker’s Distillery Tour is your chance to get a behind the scenes look at a working distillery producing internationally award winning gins.
You will be guided through the history of Whittaker’s and shown round the distillery by one of the Whittaker’s Team.
Ther stills are all called Jezebel named after the owners’ daughters, Jessica and Isabella. Their most recent stills are 300 litre which they had made by Tadweld in Tadcaster so they are possibly the only distillery in the UK that are using handmade, Yorkshire made stills.
