Nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Silent Pool Distillery is located on the historic Albury Estate beside the legendary Silent Pool, a spring-fed lake steeped in local folklore.
Since opening in 2014, the distillery has become one of England’s most recognised premium spirits destinations, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to experience its award-winning spirits and picturesque surroundings.
At the heart of the distillery are its copper stills, Juliette and Ophelia, where a carefully balanced range of gins and other spirits are crafted using traditional distillation techniques.
Silent Pool Gin has earned an international reputation for its distinctive botanical recipe and elegant presentation, helping to establish the distillery as one of the pioneers of England’s modern craft gin movement.
The distillery remains committed to sustainability, reflecting the founders’ original vision. A restored vintage wood-fired steam boiler powers the hand-built Arnold Holstein copper still, manufactured in the Lake Constance region of Germany, while bespoke stainless steel tanks from Slovenia store both spirit and the exceptionally pure local spring water used throughout production.
Visitors can enjoy guided distillery tours, tutored tastings, cocktail experiences and a well-stocked distillery shop, all set within one of Surrey’s most beautiful landscapes.
The surrounding area offers excellent walking routes, picturesque villages, historic inns, cafés and local attractions, making Silent Pool Distillery an ideal destination for gin enthusiasts and visitors exploring the Surrey Hills alike.
