Set on the banks of Loch Lomond in the postcard village of Luss, Luss Distillery is shaped by the adventurous spirit of Ben Lomond Gin’s mountain namesake rising across the loch.
Everything produced here is rooted in exploration and craft, with Ben Lomond Gin, alongside a small number of carefully selected third-party brands, distilled and nurtured in small batches on-site.
Alongside the still house sits a working innovation space, including a botanical lab and hand-filled bottling line. This on-site setup allows for limited runs, trials, and experimental releases, while larger-scale production is supported through its sister site at The Glen Catrine bonded warehouse, one of the largest independent bottling plants in Scotland. Together, this enables seamless progression from small-scale experimentation to full-scale production.
Around Luss Distillery, visitors can explore the wider site at their own pace. A Discovery Centre introduces the story and craft behind the gin, while guided experiences open up the still house and distillery bar.
The tasting rooms, shop, and cafe complete the visit, offering relaxed spaces to taste, browse, and embrace one of Scotland’s most adventurous areas.

Luss Distillery stills:
Name: TBC
A copper pot still with additional optional 6 plate copper column & copper botanical basket.
The design of the still allows the heat to be dispersed evenly and allow the removal of any unwanted compounds.
Its hybrid design allows them to either macerate botanicals directly in the pot or vapour-infuse them using the botanical basket, giving greater control over flavour extraction and spirit character.
This flexible gin still setup enables them to experiment and create a wide range of flavour profiles through the use of an optional side column, plates, and botanical basket — maximising the potential of each botanical.
