You can now visit the Darnley’s Gin Distillery in the beautiful Kingdom of Fife, which is now open for tours. Situated in a small cottage behind Kingsbarns Whisky Distillery, your guide will explain the story of Darnley’s Gin, how they distil their spirit and of course, lead you in a tasting of the full range.

Darnley’s Original Gin

Inspired by the elderflower growing wild in the grounds of our family castle in Scotland, this award-winning, small batch London Dry Gin uses a distinctive blend of six botanicals, which are masterfully distilled in a time honoured style using the finest grain spirit.

Darnley’s Spiced Gin

Honouring the Wemyss family’s spirit of adventure, we wanted to explore a range of warming botanicals found as far afield as Africa, Morocco and China. We selected ten that would give the desired depth of flavour to create a contemporary gin that is full and rounded.

Darnley’s Spiced Gin: Navy Strength Edition

Our Navy Strength edition of our award-winning Spiced Gin was inspired by the Royal Navy career of our ancestor Sir Rosslyn Wemyss. During his time at sea, ships’ officers still enjoyed a daily ration of gin which had to pass a gunpowder test to prove it was over 57% alcohol and therefore Navy Strength. Using the same botanicals as Darnley’s Spiced Gin, we have added more juniper to our recipe and increased the proof to bring you a bold Navy Strength gin.
