Roku Sakura Bloom Gin
From: Roku
Roku Sakura Bloom Gin is a limited-edition release from Japan’s House of Suntory, crafted to celebrate the ephemeral beauty of cherry blossom season.
Inspired by hanami — the traditional Japanese custom of viewing sakura in full bloom — this gin captures the fleeting essence of spring with a delicate and elegant flavour profile.
At its heart are two signature Japanese botanicals: Sakura flower and Sakura leaf, both harvested at the peak of their season. The use of Sakura imparts an elegant floral taste with hints of saltiness, and lend the gin a soft, floral aroma and a gentle, almond-like sweetness.
Balanced with the core Roku botanicals—such as yuzu peel, sencha and gyokuro teas, and sansho pepper—Sakura Bloom expresses the House of Suntory’s mastery of harmony and seasonal sensitivity.
The result is a gin that is subtle yet expressive: floral on the nose, smooth on the palate, and lightly spiced on the finish. It works beautifully in a G&T with a garnish of fresh cherry blossom (where available) or a twist of citrus.
Presented in Roku’s signature hexagonal bottle, Sakura Bloom is adorned with pink-hued accents that reflect both the season and the artistry behind the spirit. It’s a rare and refined expression, ideal for collectors and gin lovers alike who appreciate craftsmanship and a true sense of place.
