Alison Munro The Portman Group
As Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager at Portman Group Alison provides an updated version of the presentation made at Ginposium 2019 from her colleague, Alistair Taylor, and provide a refresher on how the self-regulatory system for alcohol marketing works.
She also introduces the support services Portman Group offer to help producers, including free, confidential advice, highlighting gin-related case studies under the Code so that producers can avoid some common pitfalls.
The Portman Group have recently published their Alcohol Alternatives Guidance which details how producers can apply best practice standards to alcohol-free products and up to 0.5% ABV.
About Alison
Alison is responsible for providing tailored regulatory advice and training under the Portman Group’s Codes of Practice.
Alison has worked in marketing regulation for the past four years, most recently at the Advertising Standards Authority within the complaints department. Alison has experience dealing with complaints in both in both broadcast and non-broadcast advertising, and had previously worked at the Portman Group as a Regulatory Affairs Executive. Alison holds a BA Hons in History from the University of Chester.
