Distilled in the UK – Meet the Buyer: India

Following the success of the spirits mission to New Delhi and Mumbai in November 2025, the UK Exports team are planning a follow-up inbound mission to the UK. This will bring a delegation of five to seven leading Indian distributors and buyers, helping sustain the momentum built in the Indian market and strengthen awareness of UK brands.
Why this matters:
India’s alcoholic beverages market is among the fastest-growing globally, driven by rising demand for premium, craft, and innovative spirits. With the India–UK Free Trade Agreement progressing, this programme offers UK brands a timely platform to:
- Build direct partnerships with credible Indian buyers
- Explore new export and distribution channels
- Assess opportunities for private/white labelling
- Discuss bulk supply and bottling options
- Develop long-term strategic collaborations and investments
This initiative is designed to help UK brands secure an early-mover advantage in a market poised for significant growth.
Programme highlights:
- Three-city mission: London, Edinburgh, Belfast
- Meet-the-Buyer B2B sessions in each city
- Distillery visits (for buyers) showcasing UK innovation, quality, and heritage
Who should apply:
We are now inviting businesses in the following categories to express interest in the B2B programme:
- Whisky (Scotch, English, Welsh)
- Irish Whiskey
- Wine (Still/Sparkling)
- Gin
- Vodka
- Rum
- Liqueurs

Applications from vineyards/wineries, breweries, and cider houses are welcome, though these are not priority categories for the buyer delegation.
