Gin Guild members Joe and Daniel Schofield are set to bring their acclaimed Manchester bar to London this November, with the opening of Schofield’s London in Covent Garden.

The brothers, who joined The Gin Guild in October 2024 with Bombay Sapphire, have secured a site close to the West End’s Seven Dials and Shaftesbury Avenue after almost three years of searching for the right London location.

The venue will undergo an eight-week fit-out, with the opening scheduled for early November. Spread across two floors, Schofield’s London will be larger in both floorspace and capacity than the original Manchester bar.

The new venue will follow the philosophy that has made Schofield’s Bar one of the UK’s most respected cocktail destinations. White-coated bartenders will deliver hotel bar-style service, while the drinks menu will “champion classics” alongside a selection of seasonal cocktails.

We’re really excited to bring Schofield’s Bar to London and to continue the legacy we’ve built in Manchester. For us, that legacy has always been rooted in genuine hospitality, classic cocktails and creating a bar that feels timeless. London will have its own personality, but those values will remain at its heart. We want it to feel unmistakably Schofield’s Bar while beginning a new chapter in a new city.

The brothers have commissioned many of the team who helped bring Schofield’s Manchester to life, creating a similar aesthetic for the London venue while giving it its own character.

Joe and Daniel will split their time between the two venues and will relocate to London for the opening. Members of the Manchester leadership team will join them, while recruitment is already underway for London-based bartenders.

Schofield’s Bar opened in Manchester in 2021 and quickly established itself as one of the country’s leading cocktail bars. It was named UK’s Best Bar at the Class Bar Awards in both 2022 and 2024, while also winning Best Bar in the North in every year that the awards have run their regional category.

The opening of Schofield’s London marks an exciting new chapter for the brothers, bringing the distinctive Schofield’s approach to hospitality and cocktails to the heart of London’s West End – and giving Gin Guild members another opportunity to experience their work!
