The Botanist Gin and Bloody Drinks team up for Red Snapper RTD
27th August, 2026
The Botanist Gin has teamed up with Bloody Drinks to create a new ready-to-drink take on the classic Red Snapper cocktail, bringing together two brands with a shared focus on flavour and premium cocktail serves.
The new Red Snapper RTD combines Bloody Drinks’ signature tomato and spice mix with The Botanist Gin, dry Fino sherry and Worcestershire sauce. The result is a savoury, spicy and distinctly gin-led take on the classic Bloody Mary family of cocktails.
Gareth Brown, Global Marketing Director at Bruichladdich Distillery, makers of The Botanist commented:
Since the team at Bloody Drinks launched the first ever premium ready-to-drink Bloody Mary back in 2019, they have gone from strength to strength – and we have been fans from the start.
When they [Bloody Drinks] approached us with the idea of working together to create a canned Red Snapper using The Botanist Gin, we were immediately excited. And after the first taste, we knew we had to work with them to bring it to market.
Bloody Drinks use the finest ingredients in their cocktails to provide consumers with the best possible flavour experience, a mindset that aligns perfectly with the values of The Botanist. Distilled using 22 hand-foraged botanicals from our island home, Islay, The Botanist offers a delicate and herbaceous backbone to this beautifully balanced yet complex cocktail – with the ready-to-drink format delivering the perfect serve every time.”
The cocktail is presented in a 250ml can at 6.1% ABV, offering a convenient single-serve format while retaining the character of a freshly prepared cocktail.
The collaboration marks another step into the RTD category for both brands and comes hot on the heels of The Botanist’s collaboration with Whitebox Cocktails, which launched a Dry Martini RTD in May. That partnership saw The Botanist Gin combined with dry vermouth in a 100ml, full-strength 33.9% ABV serve.
For Bloody Drinks, the new release adds another gin-based serve to its growing range of ready-to-drink cocktails. The company has already developed a number of collaborations and variations around its signature Bloody Mary format, including its 6.1% ABV Mezcal Maria.
The launch also highlights the continued evolution of the premium RTD category, with established spirit brands increasingly using the format to recreate classic cocktails and introduce consumers to new serves beyond the traditional gin and tonic.
The Gin Guild welcomes and celebrates the collaboration and the continued innovation around gin in the ready-to-drink category. The Red Snapper’s combination of The Botanist’s distinctive Islay dry gin character with Bloody Drinks’ tomato, spice and savoury profile offers a particularly interesting interpretation of a classic cocktail.
