Not following your passion can take the joy out of life. For Brogan, there came a moment of clarity – she realised her true calling wasn’t in medical science, but in creating spirits.

It wasn’t the easiest path. Distilling is a highly regulated craft, with countless steps and requirements to navigate. Establishing one of the first inner-city distilleries brought even more challenges, demanding patience, perseverance, and a determination to do things differently.

In September 2018, Brogan’s Way opened its doors. At its helm was a 24-year-old distiller with no choice but to carve her own path – to do things her way. Success followed swiftly. The distillery’s first gins not only delighted customers but also earned awards, confirming that Brogan’s leap into spirits had been the right decision.

Though naturally sjy, Brogan takes joy in the quiet moments – watching from the wings as people enjoy their first taste of her creations in the bustling Richmond distillery bar. For her, the greatest reward lies not in the spotlight but in those smiles shared over a glass of gin. By pursuing what she loves, Brogan has created something much bigger – a place and a spirit that bring happiness to many.
