Autumn Guild member installation and Worshipful Company of Distillers Annual Banquet
Friday 11th October 2019 from 4:30 pm - 11:00 pm£155
The Autumn Mansion House installation is an occasion to remember. For those who have not experienced a City of London formal function, with the traditions and ceremonies of the City of London and of both the Gin Guild and the Worshipful Company of Distillers, it is an unforgettable experience.
Unlike the Gin Industry Annual Dinner in May (6th May 2020 in London’s Guildhall), which is restricted only to industry members so as to provide maximum networking opportunities, the Annual Banquet and the preceding Gin Guild Autumn Installation is open, and welcomes spouses, consorts and other guests.
Tickets booking window closes in:
This event has a very strict dress code, with either full white tie tails or full black-tie dinner suit being required for men, and with ladies usually in long evening dresses.
Prices for 2019 are held at £155 per person (inc. VAT), inclusive of all wines and spirits.

A refreshing G&T is available. This will be offered at the Guild bar in the Old Ball Room. On arrival please proceed direct to the Old Ball Room. This is on the floor above the main reception room and Long Parlour known to previous attendees.

Full access to the reception hall will of course be available once the main banquet reception commences.

At 6.15 please exit the Old Ball Room (without glasses) and proceed down the stairs and join and merge, through the main doors to the reception hall, with the flow of guests to the banquet.
Please collect your seating plan and greet the Master.
We will be called to dinner in the famous Egyptian Hall at 7.00 or thereabouts.
Guests are requested, if possible, not to leave their seats during dinner or the speeches. There will be no comfort break.
Facilities are situated on the ground floor. Guests may wish to avail themselves of the facilities before 7.00.
After dinner, those seeking further opportunities to imbibe may wish to visit the bar at Merchant House,13 Well Court, London, EC4M 9DN, two minutes’ walk from Mansion House.
The Gin Guild installation is held in the late afternoon, before the Board of the Gin Guild, in a new (and larger), venue for 2019, the Old Ballroom at The Mansion House, in front of invited guests and colleagues and Guild members.
This event has a particular flavour and style, as it is a very distinguished location, which we are privileged to share.
Before and after the ceremony, members of the Guild old and new, and their guests, share in a gin bar. They are able to sample the spirit alongside the conviviality of Guild membership.
In early evening the group then joins the Guild’s parent company, the Worshipful Company of Distillers, its members and their guests, at their formal reception in the reception hall.
After the reception all take their places for the Banquet (a formal dinner) in the world-famous banqueting hall, the Egyptian Room.
A full e-brochure is available for this event on request to share with potential guests.
Ticket price is £155 (inc. VAT). No menu is currently available. This is due in a month or so. Copies will be emailed when available to all those who have booked. Any dietary requirements will need to be advised by email to the Guild within five working days of sending the menu out. It is not possible to request a change the menu at the event itself. Any general allergies and preferences (vegetarian/vegan/allergies etc.), however should be noted on the booking form in the usual way on booking in any event.
As ever, given the prominence of the venue security is a major consideration. Please note the importance of having attendee names well in advance and to advise the Guild in writing of any change of names.
It is essential that attendees bring their invitations to gain access and photo I.D. (passport or the photocard Drivers Licence), as it is anticipated, particularly following a recent security breach suspect that the venue will be quite strict about allowing access. – especially if anyone is wearing a red dress and sash! If you or any guest drops out, please try to fill the space with an appropriate guest.
