Tayport Wild Rose Gin

From Tayport Distillery

This craft rose gin was inspired by a walk on the shores of the Tay River where the distillers discovered wild rose growing in abundance. Their Wild Rose Gin is a traditional London Dry Gin made by a family owned and operated craft distillery.

This year they were honoured to be voted the Best Gin in Scotland by the IWSC awards 2020 and here is what they had to say: 'Elegant complexity and depth of floral and sweet earth aromas, developing into pine and citrus on the palate. An expressive palate that is vibrant and flavoursome, providing complexity of juniper and black pepper on the finish.'

Botanicals Included: Juniper Berries, Wild Rose, Lemon Peel, Bay Leaves, Coriander, Angelica, and Almond. These are sourced from sustainable producers and they make a commitment to forage any local botanicals respectfully and where they can.

ABV:40%
Nose:On the nose there is a punchy burst of bright notes
Palate:The first sip is fresh and citrusy
Finish:It leads to a floral finish with hints of wild rose and a sweet smoothness.
Serve:Keep things simple with a Classic light tonic, a slice of lemon or lime, over ice. Let the citrus notes of lemon peel and coriander come to the forefront, finished by the delicate floral notes of wild rose. Or why not try the 'forgotten classic' gin cocktail the Aviation.
