Details of the members of the Gin Guild who have been installed formally as Wardens of the Gin Guild at our recent Autumn Installation ceremony in London.
Bob Rishworth – Halewood International
Bob has been in the drinks business for over 40 years. He started his drinks career with United Rum Merchants as a sales manager and then became commercial director of URM Agencies (then part of Allied Lyons plc). He then moved to Morrison’s Supermarkets plc as wine and spirits director. Bob has been with Halewood International since the 1990’s in a number of positions including sales and marketing director of Chaile Richards & Co and then its Chairman. He is a past Chairman of the Benevolent Society and a director of the WSTA and is past Chairman of the Gin & Vodka Association before its merger with the WSTA. Halewood produces Whitney Neill gin.
Ibolya Bakos-Tonner – Inver House Distillery and International Beverage Holdings
Ibi joined Inver House Distillery and International Beverage Holdings Ltd in 2008 to manage the new product development of a Super Premium Scottish Gin, Caorunn. She was responsible for superior product quality; break through packaging design, unique selling proposition, differentiating product story and the development of an integrated communication strategy. During the course of the past 5 years Caorunn has won more than 25 awards globally for its versatile taste and distinctive packaging.
Vince Wilkins – Spirit of The Lakes
Vince Wilkins is one of the joint founders of Spirit of The Lakes Ltd. The company, in association with Alcohols Ltd, is the first to product Gin made with spring water from the English Lake District. During 2014 Bedrock, and the new Export Strength version, were both awarded a “Master” at the 2014 Gin masters and Bedrock was subsequently awarded a Gold medal in the 2014 IWSC. Spirit of The Lakes also produces a branded Gin for the National Trust.
