Slingsby Navy Strength Gin

Produced by: Spirit of Harrogate Ltd

One glimpse of the sleek, black bottle indicates that this is something very special. This Navy Strength Gin uses the same botanical mix as the classic London Dry Gin however is stronger and richer with an ABV of 57%.

This creates a great body and intensity whilst still retaining the classically smooth finish. The gin continues the tradition of the Royal Navy’s ‘proof test’, whereby gunpowder can still ignite if gin is accidentally spilled upon it.

ABV:57%
Nose:The nose is greeted with a stewed fruit sweetness followed by a strong grapefruit citrus charge. The primrose, hyssop and sweet cicely lend a delicate air. Rosemary and thyme combine to bring a herbal twang, adding a somewhat savoury tone to the subtle juniper.
Palate:An initial burst of refreshing citrus and grapefruit more pronounced than the Slingsby London Dry gives way to juniper landing in the middle of the taste.
Finish:Softer more earthier botanicals become more dominant and the herbaceous sweetness, led by sweet cicely along with Taylors of Harrogate jasmine scented green tea round off the taste beautifully.
Serve/garnish:We recommend with premium tonic water, on ice with a wedge of pink grapefruit
