Beara Ocean Gin

Our small batch gin is a blend of four distillates.

  • Base Gin. distilled with Juniper, Coriander, Angelica, Cardamom, Orris root and celery seed
  • Fresh zest from oranges, Red Grapefruit, Lemons & Limes
  • Saccharina Latissima or sugarkelp
  • Fuschia Flower picked seasonally from the hedgerows of the peninsula.

When cutting the married blend with spring water from the Caha mountains we also infuse the spirit with Atlantic sea salt water.™ flavour guidance

Nose:Slightly zesty with a whiff of lime, pronounced notes of coriander and a bit of pepper, there is a kind of sea breeze in the distance
Palate:Surprisingly fresh, a bit musky-spicy, warm cardamom, a bit flowery like lavender
Finish:The sweet crisp flavour lingers on ones palate until the next taste
Serve:On a bed of ice with a slice of red grapefruit and two cardamom pods, served with Indian tonic
